Dimitra Marangozis holds a Performer’s and Teacher’s ARCT from the Royal Conservatory of Music and a Preliminary Piano Diploma from the National Conservatory in Athens. She has Suzuki, Orff and Kodaly Teacher’s Certificates. Dimitra has pursued further studies in Ethnomusicology and Performance at the University of Toronto and York University. Her teachers included Toula Minetou-Metaxa, Spiro Kizas, Valery Lloyd-Watts and Antonin Kubalek.

Dimitra has been active as a teacher, examiner, performer and clinician. A past Chairperson for the Children’s programs of the Royal Conservatory of Music, she has served on numerous advisory committees for the Community School as well as RCM Examinations. An active teacher in the Suzuki Program of the school for the past 25 years, she is currently one of the Royal Diploma Program Co-ordinators, an integrated music education curriculum body, which includes Suzuki, Choir, Orchestra, and Theory/Musicianship classes.

Dimitra has frequently performed solo, duo piano and chamber music concerts in Canada and Greece, with a continuous interest to the classical music of her native country.

Dimitra is married and has two boys.
