Siobhan Kerr studied harp with Marie Lorcini, when the harp program was begun at the Hamilton Suzuki School of Music more than 30 years ago. She has since earned a Bachelor of Music degree from McMaster University and a Bachelor of Education from Brock University. She has studied the Suzuki teaching method with various American harp instructors. Siobhan taught in the elementary school system for a short while. She then decided to dedicate her time between her growing family, the Hamilton Suzuki program, and performing professionally. She plays on both pedal and lever harp for private functions within the Golden Horseshoe area. As an orchestral harpist, Siobhan performs with various groups in Southern Ontario, including Cambridge Symphony, Symphony-on-the-Bay (Hamilton/Burlington), Mississauga Symphony, Masterworks & Oakville Chamber Orchestra. She has also performed with the National Academy Orchestra (Brott Festival), Strata Vocal Ensemble, Hamilton Children’s Choir, and the McMaster Chamber Orchestra & McMaster Choirs. Siobhan also shares harp music within her faith community.
