Woosol Cho is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Musical Arts program at the University of Toronto, and prior to studying in Toronto, held the position of Principal Viola of the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. An avid performer, she has performed with numerous ensembles including the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, and frequently as guest Principal Viola of the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra. With over 10 years of teaching experience, Woosol has taught privately, and also in group settings at Orkidstra in Ottawa and at Sistema Toronto. During her studies at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, she was a member of the chamber music faculty for the Michael P. Hammond Preparatory Program, and Teaching Assistant to James Dunham. As an adjudicator, Woosol has taught at the prestigious Hong Kong Schools Music Festival. While in Hong Kong, Woosol was inspired to begin her Suzuki Violin Method training, which she received under Suzuki trainers Susan Gagnon and Margot Jewell. Woosol teaches in both English and Korean.
