REGISTER HERE FOR TEACHER DAY NOV 14

The Suzuki Association of Ontario Conference team has been working hard behind the scenes to bring you the very first virtual SAO Conference, November 13 and 14, 2021 . Even though we will miss seeing all of you in person, this new online format has given us the opportunity to bring in clinicians from around the world.

We are excited to announce that Martin Ruttiman (Switzerland) will be our keynote speaker. Martin has taught at workshops worldwide, and was faculty at the 16th Suzuki Method World Convention in 2013 (Matsumoto, Japan) and at the Asian Suzuki Conference in 2014 in (Taipei, Taiwan). He is currently President of the Suzuki Instit der Schweiz (Swiss Suzuki Association) and is a teacher trainer in the European Suzuki Association.

Our Instrument faculty will include Mark Mutter (Violin, Detroit, MI), Carmen Evans (Violin, Guelph, ON), Sally Gross (Cello, Aurora, IL), Myra Yeung (Viola, Toronto, ON), and Nicole Wilton (Piano, Saskatoon, SK).

There will be a Student Day full of energizing group classes for string students, and inspiring masterclasses for piano students, with a parent talk led by Mark Mutter that is sure to enlighten all Suzuki families.

The Teacher Day will include a keynote address from the ubiquitous Martin Ruttiman, our Annual General Meeting, and instrument specific break out sessions.

We encourage you to promote the Student Day to your studios, and remind your students that registration closes on October 13, 2021.

Stay tuned for tentative schedules and repertoire lists, which we will post this summer.

Scholarships available for financial assistance for students and teachers upon request. Please email Claire at info@suzukiontario.org for more information.
