Student Day Information

Student Day Workshop - Saturday, November 12

On Saturday, November 12, the Student Day workshop will feature workshops for students of all ages and levels. String students (violin, viola, cello) will participate in a group class and musical enrichment session. Piano students will participate in a masterclass and musical enrichment session. Guest clinicians include: David Evenchick (cello), Melanie Grenier (violin), Witold Swoboda (violin/viola), Gail Lange (piano), Dean Burry (enrichment program).

All violin and viola sessions will be held at Chalmers United Church. All piano, cello and enrichment sessions will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. These churches are just a few short blocks from each other.

What should I bring to workshop day?

  • Instrument
  • Cello bench (if needed)
  • Indoor shoes, if you are wearing boots (especially for pianists)
  • Notebook and pen/pencil
  • Nail clipper
  • Suzuki book
Parents are asked to remain with their child(ren) during classes.

This area of Kingston is full of great restaurants! Within a 10 minute walk from Chalmers United Church or St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church there are many lunch options. For the most variety, head towards Princess Street.
